About the Author: 

R.S. Mellette has written, directed, designed and acted in theatre, film, television, and publishing for over 30 years. His credits in various jobs include XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS, NUTTY PROFESSOR II: THE KLUMPS, BLUE CRUSH, and his own JACKS OR BETTER, which won Dances With Films Best Screenplay award in 2000. He has been working with the festival ever since.

My Review:
I read this in one sitting. It was extremely fast paced and riveting. I had to know what would happen next.
I love Cassidy and Ash. They both had been through a lot. There was a lot of healing that had to be done but they really belonged together.
I really loved how playful and dominating Ash was towards Cass. He wasn't overtly dominating but he was very protective and would let Cass hide away from him.
This was an extremely hot and exciting read. I definitely plan on grabbing more from this author.

Author, single mother, slave to chaos—she’s a jack-of-all-trades who’s constantly looking for her ever elusive clone.

Kris started writing some years back, and it took her a while to realize she wasn’t destined for the padded room, and that the voices chattering away in her head were really other characters trying to take shape—and since they weren’t telling her to conquer the human race, she went with it. Though she supposes if they had...insert evil laugh.

Kris loves writing erotic novels. She loves heroines who kick butt, heroes who are larger than life and sizzling sex scenes that leave you feeling just a bit breathless.

My Review:
This was a pretty fast paced book. With lots of humor and some action.
I really liked Laila. Even with everything that happened to her she never acted like a victim. She stayed strong and never stopped fighting. I liked that she helped the other women realize that they weren't slaves and could fight back too.
Rakin and Dev were awesome. Very alpha male and hot! I loved the chemistry between them all. 
Overall it was a good read. Some moments were a little over the top but it was still an interesting book.

Gwendolyn Cease has been writing ever since she was old enough to pick up a pen. From the very beginning, her stories involved handsome heroes, tough heroines, and happily ever after. Even as she slogged through two undergraduate degrees and a master’s in education, writing remained top priority. Though she now works full-time as a history museum educator, she still makes time for her characters and their never-ending adventures.

My Review:
I had an extremely hard time putting this one down! It was so captivating and emotional. It is book 2 in the series but works fine as a stand-alone. It explains enough of book 1 that you won't be lost reading them out of order.
This was a very heart-wrenching read. I knew that this was going to be a second chance romance but it was really hard to read about them splitting up. I could understand the reasoning behind it though. It was an amazing story and very believable.
I loved both the characters. I really felt for Kara and I liked that she was able to become a super strong woman away from Riley. They were both really able to grow as people by being away from each other.
I love Riley too. How dominating and possessive he is. Even though they were divorced he still thought of Kara as his wife. I found that endearing. Most of the time I wouldn't because their divorced but those two really did belong together. They are extremely hot together and fit each other well.
I'm excited to read the rest of the series with the other characters. They were very fun. I especially love Kara's elderly neighbor. She was a riot!
I really look forward to getting the next book and reading the other series with the Regulators MC.

My Review:
I didn't know going into this one that this was book 2 in a series. But this can be read as a stand-alone with no problems. It refers back to some stuff in book 1 but not enough that I felt I was missing the story. That being said I totally plan on going back and reading it. I would love to get the beginning of Lorcan and Julie's story.
This was a very captivating and heartbreaking at times story. I was enthralled in it and read it in one sitting.
Julie is very relatable. She has a lot of insecurities but shes trying to fight past them. I love her humor too. 
Lorcan is just devastating. I was intrigued by him from the start and with every piece of his past that was revealed I just fell for him more. He's an extremely sweet guy. He was very closed off but you can't help but be drawn to him. At times he could be overly cocky and he definitely has a lot of demons from his past. But he has all these layers to break through to get to the real him.
I do hope to read more from this author in the future. I really felt for her characters and was drawn in to the story. I didn't want it to end.
