Spotlight & Review: Ghostly Seduction by Desiree Holt

Ghostly Seduction
by Desiree Holt
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Ghosts

A writer's convention at a haunted hotel gives author Jordan Kyle the perfect chance to do research for her next book. While ghost hunting through the century-old halls, she never expects to really find one. But when her sleep is filled with erotic dreams and the starring sex god shows up in the lobby the next day, she's not sure if he's real or a ghost with otherworldly desires.

Pragmatic cyber security consultant Aiden Flannery only believes in what he can see and hear and touch. But his dreams are invaded by a sexy redhead and her seductive peach scent tantalizes him by day. He catches the merest glimpse of her everywhere he goes then she's gone, like a whisper in the wind.

Are there supernatural forces at work? Or is it their imagination? They only know, whether awake or asleep, these ghostly seductions are hot, hot, hot and they want more.

My Review:
A very fast, extremely sexy short. I really like the authors writing style and the story was really interesting. I love all the encounters with Jordan and Aiden, both thinking that their going crazy and seeing ghosts.
They had really great chemistry and the sex was HOT. I just wish that it was longer so that the characters could get to know each other and not just have these sexy encounters.

Review & Spotlight: He's So Fine by Marie Mason

He's So Fine
by Marie Mason
Genre: New Adult, College, Stepbrother Romance

Cage escaped the foster system and turned to the underground fight ring to earn enough money to put food in his stomach and a roof over his head. Now, his absentee father has shown up out-of-the-blue offering him a chance to get to know him.  He takes the offer and gets more than he bargains for—a curvy stepsister who knocks this bad boy to his knees.

My Review:
If you love a dirty talking, sexy-as-sin, alpha, bad boy who loves sex then this one is definitely for you!
I really like Cage a lot. He's egotistical and a total man-whore but he has this sweetness to him. Women know what they're getting into by being involved with him. He never hides who he is. I love meeting Abby basically knocked his world off kilter.
Abby is very sweet and relatable. She's a bit naïve at times but I liked her. She put up a good resistance to Cage but he's hard to fight.
I was a bit hesitant about this whole stepbrother thing at first but Abby and Cage didn't know of each other and didn't grow up together so they really didn't have any familiar ties to each other.
This was a really fast and extremely HOT read. I look forward to reading more from Marie Mason in the future.

Review & Spotlight: Southern Heat by Parker Kincade

Southern Heat
A Game On Novel
by Parker Kincade
Genre: Contemporary Sports Romance

Tyler Brady earned his reputation as the bad boy of baseball the old-fashioned way: by playing hard—on and off the field. After suffering a shoulder injury, he faces his first summer off in twenty years. Between the endless physical therapy sessions and missing the season, Tyler’s patience is about to blow.
After suffering a devastating breakup, Gabriella Marano is ready to play the field. Who better to reacquaint her with the pleasures of sex than a devastatingly handsome ball player? Tyler is well equipped to give her what she needs: a little harmless fun.
As their passion soars, Tyler realizes the woman who fires his blood holds his future in the palm of her hands.

In more ways than one.

My Review:
A seriously sweet and extremely sexy sports romance. But even if you don't like sports you can still read this and really enjoy it!
I loved Ty. He's a definite ladies man but very sweet and lets women know what their in for. I loved him falling for Gabriella. He was so sure that it was just a temporary thing but realized just how much he wanted her and couldn't let her go.
Gabby is a very strong woman. She's had a really bad relationship in the past but she's handling it well. I love her confidence and humor. Also just a really caring person. She was very playful with Ty and it was really cute. She frustrated me at times with holding things back from him but I could understand her reasons.
Overall just a very cute and fun read. It's book 2 in the series but can be read with no trouble as a stand-alone.

Spotlight & Review: Virgin Cowboy by Lacey Wolfe

Virgin Cowboy
Carver Ranch Series
by Lacey Wolfe
Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance/Western

This cowboy lands the girl of his dreams, but he's got one little secret…
Courtney Johnson, single mom and bar owner, hasn't had much luck in the dating department. That all changes one evening when Braden Carver asks her out, and she decides to take a chance with him, even though she's ten years older than him.
Braden's always felt like he lived in the shadows of his two older brothers, never really being noticed. Before he knows it, he's on the dance floor with the girl he's liked for years, calling her 'sweetheart'. Finally, life is looking up for him. However, his mother isn't pleased when she finds out he's seeing Courtney.
As their relationship heats up, one thing still lingers—Braden's a virgin. How will Courtney react when she learns of his innocence? Will it be enough to make her walk away, especially with his disapproving mother?

Content Warning: contains adult language and sexual situations

My Review:
This was such a sweet and sexy story! I loved the characters! This was the first in this series from Lacey Wolfe that I've read and it worked fine as a stand-alone. I do plan on going back and reading the others in the future. The characters were a lot of fun and I'd love to find out their stories.
I adored Braden. He's so sweet and I love that he thinks sex is a serious thing and waited until he actually cared for the person. He was definitely a natural at it because OMG was the sexy scenes between him and Courtney HOT.
Courtney's a really strong character. She's raising her daughter alone and was taught not to show emotions but is starting to realize that that's not a good way to live. I loved her opening up to Braden and realizing that she cares for him as more than a friend.
It was definitely very different having a story with the male character as the virgin but I really enjoyed it. It was nice for once not having the males be so womanizing and then have to redeem themselves.

Lacey Wolfe has always had a passion for words, whether it’s getting lost in a book or writing her own. Her goal as an author is to have a romance for everyone, whether it’s sweet, sensual, or spicy. Divine Passion
by Valerie Twombly

When he rescues the human Ranata from becoming a sacrificial lamb, he gets more than he bargained for. When a sexy demon comes along and saves the day, his golden eyes and hard body make him difficult to resist. With her sister in the clutches of the enemy, she must plan a daring rescue. Fate however, has other plans. Will she choose the path destiny has laid out for her?

My Review:
Fast paced and full of action. This was one sexy and fun read! Full of all kinds of paranormal creatures it made for an interesting world.
This is the first in the series that I've read and it stood alone pretty well. Parts of it were a bit confusing but I followed along for the most part.
I love Baal. He's snarky and so full of himself but you cant help but love him and want to break through his layers. He lost someone he loved in the past and wont give up his heart again. Ranata was fearless. For being thrust into this world and finding out about her true self, she held it together really well. I loved how she was willing to fight and help these people that she didn't know. They made for a great team and explosive couple.
I definitely plan on going back and reading the rest of the series. It is a very intriguing world that the author made and I look forward to finding out more.

Spotlight & Review: Taming Her Navy Doc by Amy Ruttan

Taming Her Navy Doc
by Amy Ruttan
Genre: Medical Romance

Thorne has been left damaged, brooding and untamable after the loss of his dreamsand beautiful Erica is an unwanted complication! She might be as wary of relationships as he is, but fighting temptation will be the biggest battle of all

My Review:
This was such a sweet and easy read. A beautiful love story with strong characters and a great storyline.
Erica and Thorne are both battling demons from their pasts and neither want a relationship but cant help be drawn towards one another.
I love how strong and determined Erica was. She's in a male dominated field but wasn't going to let that deter her from her goals. Her and Thorne balanced each other out very well and I was so glad when they finally started letting their walls down and each other in.
The authors writing flowed very well and made for a really great read.

Spotlight & Review: When an Omega Snaps by Eve Langlais

When An Omega Snaps
by Eve Langlais
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Leo is the calm guy. The nice guy. The one nobody screws with. So could someone explain that to Meena so she stops driving him insane—with desire.
When Meena literally throws herself at Leo and declares he’s her mate, his first reaction is to deny—and run far, far away. This lion/tiger mix doesn’t do drama and chaos. Problem is, once he sets eyes on her, he can’t help but want the vivacious blonde with plus-sized curves, perfect for a big man like himself.
He wants her even if it breaks all his rules when it comes to women.
Wants her even if she destroys his serenity.
Wants her more than a perfectly grilled piece of steak with a dash of garlic, pepper, and salt.
Thing is, someone else wants her too.

This poor omega is about to have his world turned upside down, which means everyone better watch out because when Leo experiences love, jealousy, and frustration for the first time, he doesn’t just snap—he roars!

My Review:

Ha! I seriously adore Eve Langlais. Another read from her that had me laughing out loud and just completely hooked!
I loved Leo from the previous books and was excited to get his story. Meena.. she is just fricken AWESOME! If anything bad can happen it will happen to her. I adore her craziness and sense of humor.
The two of them balance each other so well. Leo's calmess to Meena's chaos. The chemistry between them was great and so much fun to watch Leo's struggles with Meena's mishaps.
I cant wait to get the next book in this series! If you love a good romantic comedy with some paranormal definitely check out Eve's books!

Then check out my cyborgs whose battle with humanity have captivated readers worldwide.

I love to write, and while I don't always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.

Hayder's met his mate, there's just one little problem, she's allergic to cats.
How degrading. Stuck babysitting a woman because his alpha said so. As Pride Beta, he has better things to do with his time, like washing his impressive mane, hunting down thugs for fun, and chasing tail--sometimes his own if his lion is feeling playful.
But his babysitting job takes an unexpected turn when the woman he's assigned guard duty over turns out to be his mate.
A female threatened by an outside wolf pack.
A woman he wants to call his own.
A mate who doesn't fall for his charm.
Usually Beta's leave the roaring to the Pride's alpha, but in this case given his level of frustration, he might have to make an exception. And if anyone doesn't like it, they can kiss his furry tail.
Rawr!

My Review:
This one started with a RAWR and kept me reading til the last page. I completely adore Eve Langlais' books. They never fail to have me laughing out loud and shaking my head.
I am loving this series from her. The lions are so over the top and prissy but all alpha male that you can't help loving them. Hayder is so full of himself but a great guy. I love how he wouldn't let Arabella cower from him and brought out her feistiness and let her know that she wasn't broken. I love the banter between them and their chemistry was great. Even if she was allergic to him!
This was fast paced. With lots of action, and tons of humor. A great book to loose a few hours in. I can't wait for the next story and more of the Lion's insane antics.

Spotlight & Review: Roll Against Trust by Allyson Lindt

Roll Against Trust
3d20 Book 1
by Allyson Lindt
Genre: Erotic Romance, Menage

http://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00PTTTDZU
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00PTTTDZU

The line between fantasy and reality blurs when a late night gaming session goes from playful to smoldering.
Tasha’s not looking for love, but she doesn’t mind just looking… and maybe a little fantasizing. Her two best friends and weekend AD& D buddies, Seth and Ryan, are the perfect guest stars in her fantasies. When a late night gaming session with the three goes from silly to verbally scorching in an instant, Tasha wonders if her imagination is enough to keep her satisfied long term.

Then her ex’s money mismanagement catches up to her in the form of draining her bank account, her job is threatened by a mistake that points to Ryan, and Seth takes his side. If Tasha can’t move past her trust issues long enough to uncover the truth—both with herself and the men she’s falling for—she’ll wind up broken-hearted and just plain broke.

My Review:
So I know very little about Dungeon's & Dragons but holy hell who knew it could be this hot! This book starts with a bang and kept my interest all the way through.
The relationship between Tasha, Ryan, and Seth is wicked hot! but not all sunshine and daisies. There was some drama that definitely kept the story interesting and not all about sex.
Lots of humor, drama, and panty melting sex. This was one fun and fast read.

Spotlight & Review: Fairyproof by Constance Phillips

Fairyproof
by Constance Phillips
Genre: Romantic Fantasy

After her parent's death and an unwanted proposal, fairy Monique seeks refuge in the human world, even though her brother has warned her of the dangers. She believes Hiding will be a breeze. She can control any human with a flirtatious smile and an attraction spell. Until she meets Daniel Elliot, the only human who's immune to both.

My Review:
I had some trouble really getting into this one. It wasn't a bad read but I wasn't as enthralled with it. The storyline kind of lagged for me and was pretty predictable. But it was overall a sweet romance.
Monique was very likeable but I just didn't connect with her as much. She relied so much on her looks and when they didn't work for her it was like she was completely lost. I liked that she fought for herself and wasn't willing just to go with her brothers plans for her. Daniel was very sweet. But at times I just wished he'd make a move on Monique or something. He's a really nice guy but kind of lack luster.
It also changed points of view to Monique's brother Kieran who pretty much just came off as a jerk. There were circumstance's as to why he acted that way but I just couldn't feel empathy towards him. I just felt that the characters needed a bit more work and lacked depth.
It's an interesting and different take on fairies. But this one just wasn't very exciting for me.
