her friends from the treachery of Xerxes and forge a new destiny with each
other in a world that’s been torn apart by hatred and prejudice.
EXCERPT:
“Shhhhh,” he whispered, tracing his
fingers along the inside of my thigh.
“We’ll leave as soon as it’s dark.
It will be good to fight for a cause other than my own hatred. Until then, my
only goal is to take care of you and worship every inch of your gorgeous body.”
He nuzzled under the hem of my shirt and pressed a kiss to my stomach.
Grabbing the edge of my ripped up
shirt, I yanked it over my head and sent it sailing across the room into an
empty corner. Then with a quick snap, I unlatched my black lace bra. It fell to
the floor with my pants, and I kicked the pile into the same corner where my
shirt had landed.
He rose to his feet, cupped my chin
with his right hand, then brushed away a stiff strand of my dirty hair, and
kissed me ever so gently on the lips.
It was a sweet kiss. The kind you
used to see at the end of chick flicks in the early 20th century.
The kind where the hero has just promised to love and cherish the heroine
forever and her foot pops up as he kisses her in that picture perfect way that
only those old romantic movies could pull off.

| I'm an so enthralled with this series. Each book just pulls me into this world deeper and I never want to leave. This book focus's on Eira, the vampire we met in the last book, who I completely adore. She's bad a$$ with a wicked sense of humor, and her mate who she thought died thousands of years ago Killian. I found Killian very charming and sexy. He can keep up with the vampires and other creatures when he doesn't have super strength. He is an Elvin so he does have some perks. Both him and Eira thought each other was dead so its a big shock when they meet up again. I love how they still love each other so deeply and our still bonded so close after all this time. This book had a lot of action and was focusing on bringing characters together and meeting some of the other players. I loved actually meeting Jared and Alek. They have been mentioned in previous books but we haven't actually met them until this book. I am super excited to find out more about each of them. Also this sets up for the next novel with Charlie and the super alpha werewolf brothers. There was a lot of heartache and sadness in this but also love and hope. I am completely in love with this series and all the supernatural creatures in it. I can not wait until the next installment. |

that phrase, then you probably don't like the same movies.
She writes
stories full of action, snark, magick, and heart-felt emotion. If you are
looking for leisurely paced sweet romance, her books are probably not for you.
But, for those looking for a magical ride, filled with adventure, passion, and
